TRUEFITT & HILL ADDS THREE NEW PRODUCTS TO ITS LUXURIOUS APSLEY RANGE

For over more than two centuries, Truefitt & Hill’s story has been closely entwined with the history of our great isle and has chronicled figures and events of the past, often with the names of our products evoking the nostalgia and the long forgotten elegance of bygone eras.

Apsley hand cream and hand soap

The Apsley range of products, originally launched in 2016 and created as a homage to one of Truefitt’s most illustrious past patrons, the 1st Duke of Wellington, takes its name from Apsley House, the former home of the Duke. The scent provides a contemporary interpretation of Truefitt & Hill’s more traditional fragrances. Apsley marries sharp top notes of smouldering woods with delicately balanced undertones of light citrus, to create a fragrance that harks to the past, but which at the same time, embraces the free spirit of a modern age.

To add to this ever popular product range and expand on its offering, we are pleased to introduce two new products: The Apsley Hand Cream & Hand Wash, as well as the Apsley Bath & Shower Cream.

Notes to editor

Founded in 1805 by William Francis Truefitt, wigmaker and haircutter to King George III, Truefitt & Hill have the honour of being recognised as the oldest barbershop in the world, as recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records.

For over two centuries, Truefitt & Hill has played a part in the lives of both the extraordinary and ordinary figures who have shaped the history not only of our great isle but also of the world. Our narrative shadows important events in history - the names of our products often evoke the long-forgotten elegance of bygone eras and are associated with the great and the good, the infamous and the once familiar.

Apsley fragrance, named after the iconic London landmark and former residence of Truefitt & Hill’s past patrons – the 1st Duke of Wellington, one of England’s most esteemed sons, whose name conjures up the image of determination, sophistication and selfless courage. Apsley epitomises the quintessential English gentleman and its enduring name links past with the free spirit of a modern age.
